Welcome to the Opportunities and Challenges Group
We are conducting a poll to help put together a resource for people who are thinking of doing business in Libya. Our aim is to support the economic and social development of Libya.
We would be really interested to hear what the major concerns are for investors, what information would be useful to include in the "Guidelines for a better business in Libya". We also would like to hear from Libyans hoping to attract investment in Libya to help economic reconstruction, what is your advice and aspirations for building business ties between Libya and the international community?

Comment by EMCS on May 2, 2012 at 15:57 Following Sudanese Labour Minister Farah Mustafa’s visit to Tripoli a week ago, he has announced in a press conference in Khartoum that Libya has agreed to appoint 600 Sudanese doctors and a number of teaching staff in various disciplines to work at Libyan universities. He added that there would be other Libyan recruitment opportunities for Sudanese — in medicine, engineering, hospitality and tourism.
On 24 April, Mustafa and Libyan Labour Minister Mustafa Rujbani signed an MOU on the exchange of experts and expertise between the two countries.
According to the Sudanese press, Libyan authorities have invited Sudanese construction companies to contribute to Libya’s construction projects, and have agreed to offer advantages to the Sudanese workers such as health insurance.
Mustafa said that following his visit to Libya, he had discussed with colleagues the importance of job opportunities for Sudanese in Libya but that a major concern had been their safety and security.
